HOMEMADE BREAD CRUMBS

Whole Foods charges an arm and a leg for these (even Morgan calls that place “Whole Paycheck”). And no one in my house really likes the ends of bread. So, I store the ends in the back of my frig 'til I have 6 or 8 whole wheat organic bread ends, then spread them out on a baking sheet and bake at 200 degrees for awhile, turning them over once, 'til they are dried out. Then, using the Morgan-Alexander Method, I break them in half, placing 4 halves in the blender and blend on high (holding on tight to the lid). Stop and shake, blend again until at desired fineness. Store in a lidded container in the freezer.
